Angels and Demons

Angels and Demons is Dan's Brown first Robert Langdon thriller. It takes place chronologically before The Da Vinci Code, although it doesn't matter which book you read first. Both books involve conspiracies within the Catholic Church, but Angels and Demons has more action within Rome and the Vatican. Angels and Demons is a fast paced thriller that provides an entertaining escape for the reader.

The first is an overview the challenges facing life, the others are dedicated to hunting, the deep sea and various major evolutionary groups of creatures: plants, primates and other large sections of other vertebrates and invertebrate. An excellent documentary show us nature in its all glory!

Boardwalk Empire

Chronicles the life and times of Nucky Thompson, the undisputed ruler of Atlantic City, who was equal parts politician and gangster. One of the best series on HBO.

My left foot

The story of Christy Brown, who was born with cerebral palsy. He learned to paint and write with his only controllable limb - his left foot. A remarkable film, with great performances by Day-Lewis and Fricker.

The Hurricane

The story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, a boxer wrongly imprisoned for murder, and the people who aided in his fight to prove his innocence. An incredible film, with superb acting!

Requiem for a dream

The drug-induced utopias of four Coney Island individuals are shattered when their addictions become stronger. Brutal, honest and a must see film!

After a simple jewellery heist goes terribly wrong, the surviving criminals begin to suspect that one of them is a police informant. A timeless classic!

An insomniac office worker and a devil-may-care soap maker form an underground fight club that transforms into a violent revolution. This is one of the most unique films I have ever seen! An aggressive, confrontational, often brutal satire film! In conclusion, a masterpiece!

City of God (cidade de Deus)

Two boys growing up in a violent neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro take different paths: one becomes a photographer, the other a drug dealer!
