A coming-of-age story about a teenage girl in 1960s suburban London, and how her life changes with the arrival of a playboy nearly twice her age! This is an extremely well-made film! The talented Carey Mulligan is definitely someone to watch as her career develops! It explores many issues such as social class, racism and the value of education! One of the best British films of recent years!
